Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Thousand Character Classic (Qian Zi Wen) In Cursive Script by Zhang Bi. The price achieved of USD 749,000.00 (€ 584,425.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Other works by Zhang Bi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2015 the work The Thousand Character Classic In Cursive Script was auctioned for USD 874,000.00 (€ 813,704.50).

Im März 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Thousand Character Classic (Qian Zi Wen) In Cursive Script von Zhang Bi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 749.000,00 (€ 584.425,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Zhang Bi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2015 die Arbeit The Thousand Character Classic In Cursive Script für USD 874.000,00 (€ 813.704,50) versteigert.
