Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poems In Cursive Script by Zhang Bi was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. It changed hands for a price of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 79,136.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Bi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Thousand Character Classic In Cursive Script in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 874,000.00 (€ 813,704.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poems In Cursive Script von Zhang Bi wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 79.136,99) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Bi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Thousand Character Classic In Cursive Script im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 874.000,00 (€ 813.704,50).
