Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphy by Zhang Bi was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II auction at POLY in April 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 177,000.00 (€ 18,676.33), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Bi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Thousand Character Classic In Cursive Script in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 874,000.00 (€ 813,704.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Zhang Bi wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II bei POLY versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 177.000,00 (€ 18.676,33) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Bi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Thousand Character Classic In Cursive Script im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 874.000,00 (€ 813.704,50).
