Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhan Zhonghe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Running Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 40,970.44) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhan Zhonghe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cursive Script Calligraphy, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 94,207.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhan Zhonghe erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 40.970,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhan Zhonghe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cursive Script Calligraphy beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 94.207,01) versteigert wurde.
