Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Zhan Zhonghe was sold in the Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2021. The price achieved of HKD 37,800.00 (€ 4,281.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhan Zhonghe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cursive Script Calligraphy in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 94,207.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Zhan Zhonghe wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.800,00 (€ 4.281,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhan Zhonghe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cursive Script Calligraphy im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 94.207,01).
