Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Running Script by Zhan Zhonghe was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,752.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhan Zhonghe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cursive Script Calligraphy in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 94,207.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Zhan Zhonghe wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.752,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhan Zhonghe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cursive Script Calligraphy im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 94.207,01).
