This artwork by Zhan Zhonghe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2015. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work INK BAMBOO sold for USD 43,750.00 (€ 40,731.78) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhan Zhonghe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cursive Script Calligraphy, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 94,207.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhan Zhonghe erzielte im März 2015 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit INK BAMBOO für USD 43.750,00 (€ 40.731,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhan Zhonghe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cursive Script Calligraphy beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 94.207,01) versteigert wurde.
