This price was achieved in the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at POLY in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhan Zhonghe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cursive Script Calligraphy, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 875,000.00 (€ 94,207.01).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Cursive Script von Zhan Zhonghe war einem Käufer im April 2014 HKD 471.500,00 (€ 43.852,56) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhan Zhonghe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cursive Script Calligraphy beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 875.000,00 (€ 94.207,01) versteigert wurde.
