Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zevs achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in March last year. In the Contemporary Art | Hong Kong auction, the work LV/ Supreme I sold for HKD 189,000.00 (€ 21,757.23) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zevs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Illuminated Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, Grand Odalisque - 2012, which sold at auction in October 2018 for EUR 65,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zevs erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong wurde die Arbeit LV/ Supreme I für HKD 189.000,00 (€ 21.757,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zevs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Illuminated Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, Grand Odalisque - 2012 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für EUR 65.000,00 versteigert wurde.
