Sold at the lower estimate price
In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Ink Art : Journey, which included the work Sound Of Pines And Stream by Zeng Xiaojun. The result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 47,071.70) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zeng Xiaojun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ten Thousand Brushstrokes, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 146,033.33).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Ink Art : Journey durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sound Of Pines And Stream von Zeng Xiaojun zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 47.071,70) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zeng Xiaojun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ten Thousand Brushstrokes beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 146.033,33) versteigert wurde.
