Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zeng Xiaojun could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Origo Collection — Contemporary Ink Art auction, the work Ancient Ivy In The Villa Giulia Of Rome changed hands for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 77,457.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 2,000,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Other works by Zeng Xiaojun have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2015 by the work Ten Thousand Brushstrokes at HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 146,033.33).
