A top price for Zeng Xiaojun - as previously expected
In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Ink Art, which included the work Ten Thousand Brushstrokes by Zeng Xiaojun. The price achieved of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 146,033.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Ten Thousand Brushstrokes is the most expensive artwork by Zeng Xiaojun that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Ink Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ten Thousand Brushstrokes von Zeng Xiaojun zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 146.033,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Ten Thousand Brushstrokes das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zeng Xiaojun, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
