Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Zeng Keduan. The price achieved of HKD 23,750.00 (€ 2,253.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zeng Keduan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 47,200.00 (€ 5,514.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu von Zeng Keduan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 23.750,00 (€ 2.253,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zeng Keduan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 47.200,00 (€ 5.514,22) versteigert wurde.
