A top price for Zeng Guoquan
This artwork by Zeng Guoquan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu sold for HKD 200,000.00 (€ 23,114.14) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. This high result makes Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu the most expensive artwork by Zeng Guoquan that we have observed at auctions so far.
