Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sacrifice of Youth No. 3 by Zeng Chuanxing was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 1,087,500.00 (€ 89,530.04), 21% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zeng Chuanxing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paper Bride - Prayer in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 5,024,000.00 (€ 478,387.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sacrifice of Youth No. 3 von Zeng Chuanxing wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 1.087.500,00 (€ 89.530,04) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zeng Chuanxing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paper Bride - Prayer im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.024.000,00 (€ 478.387,27).
