In November 2021 Artcurial in Paris held the auction African Contemporary Art, which included the work Collabo, 2021 by Lutanda Zemba Luzamba. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 13,000.00 44% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lutanda Zemba Luzamba - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cigars, Cognac and Lemon, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,545.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion African Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Collabo, 2021 von Lutanda Zemba Luzamba zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 13.000,00 und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Lutanda Zemba Luzamba mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cigars, Cognac and Lemon beobachtet, die im November 2021 für GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.545,89) versteigert wurde.
