The work Brethren, 2020 by Lutanda Zemba Luzamba was auctioned at Artcurial in Marrakech in May 2021. It achieved a price of MAD 221,000.00 (€ 19,392.32), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lutanda Zemba Luzamba; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Cigars, Cognac and Lemon sold at auction in November 2021 with the realized price of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,545.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Brethren, 2020 von Lutanda Zemba Luzamba kam im Mai 2021 bei Artcurial in Marrakesch zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von MAD 221.000,00 (€ 19.392,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lutanda Zemba Luzamba; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Cigars, Cognac and Lemon im November 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.545,89).
