Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Composition 65 Iii by Yvonne Thomas. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,309.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yvonne Thomas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 112,760.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition 65 Iii von Yvonne Thomas zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.309,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yvonne Thomas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 112.760,37).
