Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Twilight by Yuri Ivanovich Pimenov was sold in the Russian Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2011. The price achieved of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 81,037.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yuri Ivanovich Pimenov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work First Of May Celebration, 1950 in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,180,193.31).

Die Arbeit Twilight von Yuri Ivanovich Pimenov wurde im Juni 2011 in der Auktion Russian Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 81.037,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yuri Ivanovich Pimenov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit First Of May Celebration, 1950 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.538.500,00 (€ 1.180.193,31).
