In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included this untitled work by Yun Hyong-Keun. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 437,500.00 (€ 51,484.67), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yun Hyong-Keun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Umber-Blue 7-IIII-75 in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 4,600,000.00 (€ 531,674.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Yun Hyong-Keun zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 51.484,67) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yun Hyong-Keun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Umber-Blue 7-IIII-75 im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.600.000,00 (€ 531.674,90).
