Sold at the upper estimate price
In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Burnt Umber & Ultramarine by Yun Hyong-Keun. The auction ended at the price of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 21,533.03), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yun Hyong-Keun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Umber-Blue 7-IIII-75 in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 4,600,000.00 (€ 531,674.90).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Burnt Umber & Ultramarine von Yun Hyong-Keun zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 21.533,03) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yun Hyong-Keun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Umber-Blue 7-IIII-75 im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.600.000,00 (€ 531.674,90).
