This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Yuko Nasaka have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 8 (Infinity) 1964-9 in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 128,500.00 (€ 179,739.40).
