Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Lost in Thought 49 by Yuichi Hirako was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in October this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 609,600.00 (€ 73,719.61), 22% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Yuichi Hirako have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bark 62 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 456,000.00 (€ 465,665.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Lost in Thought 49 von Yuichi Hirako wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 609.600,00 (€ 73.719,61) und damit 22% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yuichi Hirako auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bark 62 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 456.000,00 (€ 465.665,22).
