Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Splendour by Yuan Jai was sold in the 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART auction at Christies in Taipei in April 2001. It changed hands for a price of TWD 446,500.00 (€ 15,245.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of TWD 350,000.00 – 450,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yuan Jai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Dining Table in April this year with an auction result of HKD 2,640,000.00 (€ 2,695,956.52).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Splendour von Yuan Jai wurde im April 2001 in der Auktion 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART bei Christies in Taipeh versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von TWD 446.500,00 (€ 15.245,61) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von TWD 350.000,00 – 450.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yuan Jai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Dining Table im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.640.000,00 (€ 2.695.956,52).
