YU ZICAI (1915-1992) Temple at Sunset Scroll, mounted and framed, ink and colour on paper 68 x 42 cm. (26 3 ⁄ 4 x 16 1 ⁄ 2 in.) Inscribed and signed, with two seals of the artist Dated Summer solstice, gengshen year (1980)
Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Temple at Sunset by Yu Zicai was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 21,420.00 (€ 2,543.01). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Zicai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunrise At Alishan in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 3,220,000.00 (€ 380,075.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Temple at Sunset von Yu Zicai kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 21.420,00 (€ 2.543,01) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Zicai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunrise At Alishan im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.220.000,00 (€ 380.075,26).
