Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mountains in Cloud by Yu Zicai was sold in the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 11,970.00 (€ 1,557.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Zicai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunrise At Alishan in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 3,220,000.00 (€ 380,075.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mountains in Cloud von Yu Zicai wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 11.970,00 (€ 1.557,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Zicai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunrise At Alishan im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.220.000,00 (€ 380.075,26).
