This artwork by Yu Yue achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2015. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script sold for HKD 118,000.00 (€ 13,785.55) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Yu Yue; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphic Couplets sold at auction in October 2019 with the realized price of HKD 212,400.00 (€ 24,277.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yu Yue erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script für HKD 118.000,00 (€ 13.785,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Yu Yue; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplets im Oktober 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 212.400,00 (€ 24.277,01).
