Set of four hanging scrolls, ink on paper, inscribed and signed by the artist Quyuan jushi Yu Yue, with three artist's seals reading Huang tian yu xie zuo ju jia, Deqing Yu Yue zi yin fu hao bin meng jinshi wenzi yinxin, and Quyuan Jushi.

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Small Seal Script, 1878 by Yu Yue was sold in the The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in November 2020. The price achieved of HKD 102,000.00 (€ 11,012.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Yue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphic Couplets, which sold at auction in October 2019 for HKD 212,400.00 (€ 24,277.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Small Seal Script, 1878 von Yu Yue wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 102.000,00 (€ 11.012,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Yue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplets beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für HKD 212.400,00 (€ 24.277,01) versteigert wurde.
