In February this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Eight-character Calligraphic Couple in Regular Script by Yu Yue. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 40,320.00 (€ 4,845.09), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Yu Yue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphic Couplets in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 212,400.00 (€ 24,277.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eight-character Calligraphic Couple in Regular Script von Yu Yue zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 40.320,00 (€ 4.845,09) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yu Yue auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplets im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 212.400,00 (€ 24.277,01).
