Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy in Clerical Script by Yu Yue. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 69,300.00 (€ 8,018.80), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Yue - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphic Couplets, which sold at auction in October 2019 for HKD 212,400.00 (€ 24,277.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Clerical Script von Yu Yue zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 69.300,00 (€ 8.018,80) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Yue mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplets beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für HKD 212.400,00 (€ 24.277,01) versteigert wurde.
