This artwork by Yu Yuan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Flowers sold for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 39,568.49) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yu Yuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hundred Birds Obeisance'S To The Phoenixs in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 1,562,500.00 (€ 171,192.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Yu Yuan erzielte im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Flowers für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 39.568,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yu Yuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hundred Birds Obeisance'S To The Phoenixs im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.562.500,00 (€ 171.192,88).
