Artwork auctioned at eight times the upper estimate price
The work Birds and plum blossom by Yu Yuan was worth HKD 17,640.00 (€ 1,998.10) to a buyer in December 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 2,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Yuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hundred Birds Obeisance'S To The Phoenixs in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 1,562,500.00 (€ 171,192.88).
Kunstwerk zum Achtfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Birds and plum blossom von Yu Yuan war einem Käufer im Dezember 2021 HKD 17.640,00 (€ 1.998,10) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Inkspiration: Chinese Paintings Online bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 2.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Yuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hundred Birds Obeisance'S To The Phoenixs im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.562.500,00 (€ 171.192,88).
