In October 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Vanish Into Thin Air by Yu Yasuda. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,303.30), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Yasuda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work INFILTRATION FLOW, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 150,000.00 (€ 18,278.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vanish Into Thin Air von Yu Yasuda zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.303,30) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Yasuda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit INFILTRATION FLOW beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 150.000,00 (€ 18.278,50) versteigert wurde.
