The work Flowers and Birds by Song Yu was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. It achieved a price of HKD 42,000.00 (€ 3,999.26), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. Admittedly, works by Song Yu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still life with flowers and chair. 2007. in June 2018 with an auction result of CHF 30,500.00 (€ 26,323.46).

Die Arbeit Flowers and Birds von Song Yu wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 42.000,00 (€ 3.999,26) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Song Yu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still life with flowers and chair. 2007. im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 30.500,00 (€ 26.323,46).
