Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Birds Singing by Song Yu was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012. It changed hands for a price of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,161.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Song Yu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life with flowers and chair. 2007., which sold at auction in June 2018 for CHF 30,500.00 (€ 26,323.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Birds Singing von Song Yu wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.161,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Song Yu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life with flowers and chair. 2007. beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für CHF 30.500,00 (€ 26.323,46) versteigert wurde.
