Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sailing Boats by Yu Ben was sold in the 20th Century Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2010. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 160,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 15,087.45). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Ben - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Catch, which sold at auction in May 2018 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 43,701.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sailing Boats von Yu Ben wurde im Oktober 2010 in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 160.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 15.087,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Ben mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Catch beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 43.701,80) versteigert wurde.
