Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Flower still life by Yu Ben for HKD 23,900.00 (€ 2,649.61). This price was achieved in the auction 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 35,000.00 – 65,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yu Ben achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Catch in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 43,701.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Flower still life von Yu Ben für HKD 23.900,00 (€ 2.649,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 35.000,00 – 65.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yu Ben erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Catch im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 43.701,80).
