Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2007 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Chinese Art I, which included the work Countryside Village Scene by Yu Ben. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 156,000.00 (€ 14,606.44). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yu Ben - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Catch, which sold at auction in May 2018 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 43,701.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2007 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Countryside Village Scene von Yu Ben zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 156.000,00 (€ 14.606,44) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Yu Ben mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Catch beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 43.701,80) versteigert wurde.
