Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Hunting Scenes by You Qiu. It changed hands for a price of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,482.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by You Qiu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lohans Crossing The Sea in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 346,000.00 (€ 307,883.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hunting Scenes von You Qiu zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.482,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von You Qiu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lohans Crossing The Sea im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 346.000,00 (€ 307.883,97).
