Two yoko-e prints: the first, an oban titled Entotsu no mori (Chimney Forest), dated 1985, signed in Roman script Toshi Yoshida in pencil along the bottom margin, 27.5cm x 40.7cm (10 7/8in x 16in); the second a chuban titled Yoru no Tokyo, Ryogokubashi yori (From the Ryogoku Bridge), dated 1929, with Jikoku seal, signed in Roman script Toshi Yoshida in pencil along the bottom margin and Toshi with seal Yoshida within the image, 20cm x 26.7cm (7 7/8in x 10½in); both in card mount. The work Unknown by Yoshida Toshi was auctioned at Bonhams in November this year. It achieved a price of GBP 768.00 (€ 889.94), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Admittedly, works by Yoshida Toshi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Five woodblock prints in May 2021 with an auction result of GBP 5,292.00 (€ 6,157.36).

Die Arbeit Unknown von Yoshida Toshi kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 768,00 (€ 889,94) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yoshida Toshi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Five woodblock prints im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.292,00 (€ 6.157,36).
