The work Great Earth by Yoo Hyun Mi was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2009. The auction ended at the price of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 5,479.26), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yoo Hyun Mi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Earth No. 1 from Still Life in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 24,809.91).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Great Earth von Yoo Hyun Mi kam im Mai 2009 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 5.479,26) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yoo Hyun Mi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Earth No. 1 from Still Life im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 24.809,91).
