Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Waterfall in Snow Mountains by Ying Yeping was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 11,340.00 (€ 1,358.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ying Yeping achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wuyi Mountains in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 990,000.00 (€ 98,176.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Waterfall in Snow Mountains von Ying Yeping wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 11.340,00 (€ 1.358,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ying Yeping erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wuyi Mountains im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 990.000,00 (€ 98.176,78).
