It achieved a price of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 27,271.33), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. Admittedly, works by Chen Yiming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Canary in June 2014 with an auction result of CNY 1,770,000.00 (€ 208,417.82).

Die Arbeit The Lesson (Day of Sunshine) von Chen Yiming kam im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 27.271,33) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yiming auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Canary im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.770.000,00 (€ 208.417,82).
