In May 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Hot Springs (Women Washing Clothes) by Chen Yiming. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 250,000.00 (€ 24,792.12), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Chen Yiming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Canary in June 2014 with an auction result of CNY 1,770,000.00 (€ 208,417.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hot Springs (Women Washing Clothes) von Chen Yiming zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 24.792,12) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yiming auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Canary im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.770.000,00 (€ 208.417,82).
