Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fishing Girls by Chen Yiming was sold in the Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2014. It changed hands for a price of HKD 236,000.00 (€ 24,296.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Yiming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Canary in June 2014 with an auction result of CNY 1,770,000.00 (€ 208,417.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fishing Girls von Chen Yiming wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 236.000,00 (€ 24.296,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yiming auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Canary im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.770.000,00 (€ 208.417,82).
