The work Waterscape by Chen Yiming was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. The result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 16,509.27) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yiming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Canary in June 2014 with an auction result of CNY 1,770,000.00 (€ 208,417.82).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Waterscape von Chen Yiming kam im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 16.509,27) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yiming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Canary im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.770.000,00 (€ 208.417,82).
