A top price for Chen Yiming - as previously expected
In June 2014 Sothebys in Beijing held the auction Chinese Art, which included the work Canary by Chen Yiming. The price achieved of CNY 1,770,000.00 (€ 208,417.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CNY 1,500,000.00 – 2,200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Canary is the most expensive artwork by Chen Yiming that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Juni 2014 führte Sothebys in Beijing die Auktion Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Canary von Chen Yiming zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CNY 1.770.000,00 (€ 208.417,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CNY 1.500.000,00 – 2.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Canary das teuerste Kunstwerk von Chen Yiming, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
