Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chen Yiming could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century Chinese Art auction, the work Girl In Pink With Parasol changed hands for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 53,378.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 580,000.00 – 700,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Yiming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Canary, which sold at auction in June 2014 for CNY 1,770,000.00 (€ 208,417.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Yiming konnte im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art wechselte die Arbeit Girl In Pink With Parasol für HKD 562.500,00 (€ 53.378,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 580.000,00 – 700.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Yiming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Canary beobachtet, die im Juni 2014 für CNY 1.770.000,00 (€ 208.417,82) versteigert wurde.
