Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sulu Stories: Archipelago by Yee I-Lann was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2012. It achieved a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,307.81), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 15%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yee I-Lann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kinabalu Series: Huminodun, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 295,500.00 (€ 24,327.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sulu Stories: Archipelago von Yee I-Lann wurde im April 2012 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.307,81) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 15%. Für andere Arbeiten von Yee I-Lann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kinabalu Series: Huminodun beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 295.500,00 (€ 24.327,47) versteigert wurde.
