This artwork by Ye Jianqing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. In the 20th Century Chinese Art & Asian Contemporary Art auction, the work Tranquility of Lotus Pond, Forest in the Wind sold for HKD 168,000.00 (€ 17,495.18) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 65,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ye Jianqing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Willow Pond, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 576,000.00 (€ 54,846.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ye Jianqing erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art & Asian Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Tranquility of Lotus Pond, Forest in the Wind für HKD 168.000,00 (€ 17.495,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 65.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ye Jianqing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Willow Pond beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 576.000,00 (€ 54.846,95) versteigert wurde.
